On Sunday, December 2, Growing Families presents "Family Faith-Building Advent-ures," Laying a Deeper Foundation for Christmas.  Come discover how to "Hike to Bethlehem with your family and friends!"  "Hiking to Bethlehem" is just one idea that highly respected Parent Educator and Coach-Consultant, Jan Roberts, will offer as practical help to strengthen family bonds and develop faith through traditions.  She brings hands-on, practical, fun, inspirational ideas for family Advent celebrations that will deepen the meaning of Christmas for children and parents alike.  Jan will bring many resources she recommends for your perusal, as well as special kits for family advent wreath celebrations for your purchase.  She is passionate about family life and enjoys helping others find ways to enrich their own families through her classes, workshops, books, and speaking engagements. 

Jan has taught parenting classes for 15 years in the Parent Education Program at La Canada Presbyterian Church, and this year has 150 parents of preschoolers through collegians whom she teaches weekly.  In addition to teaching and speaking, Jan also does individual parent consultations and writes a weekly advice column, "The Parent Coach," for the La Canada and Pasadena Outlook newspapers.  Jan is a member and Elder of La Canada Presbyterian Church .  She is a mom of three grown daughters, who are teachers and therapists. 

Goodies and Starbucks coffee are served at 9:30 am in Fellowship Hall, or worship with your elementary-age children at 9:30 am and exit the Sanctuary when the children are dismissed to Sunday School.
